Business Controller (m/f/d)

As a Business Controller, you will be responsible for performing controlling tasks and developing and implementing BI solutions to support business decisions. You will work closely with various departments to provide data-driven insights, monitor the performance and profitability of the V-LINE GROUP, and provide recommendations for action.
Your tasks:

• Conduct regular target-actual comparisons to identify deviations from plan and potential improvements, and recommend corrective measures
• Monitor and analyze the V-LINE GROUP's performance and prepare reports for management
• Support further development and optimization of controlling processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Responsibility for coordinating and supporting management in the preparation of V-LINE plans and forecasts and analysis of the V-LINE GROUP's cost structure to identify savings potential
• Responsibility for the selection, design, development, and implementation of business intelligence solutions
• Create interactive dashboards and reports that visualize key metrics, patterns, and trends that contribute to the optimization of operational business processes
• Collaborate with various departments to capture their requirements and implement them in BI solutions

Your profile

• Completed degree in economics, finance, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
• Experience in business controlling, finance, and project management is desirable
• Ideally, experience with analysis tools such as Microsoft Fabric and BI tools such as Power BI, Cognos Business Analytics-BI, or the motivation to acquire these skills
• Initial experience with programming language(s) is an advantage
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
• Enjoyment of complex processes and ensuring data quality
• A high degree of team spirit, results orientation, initiative, and reliability
• Desire to further develop processes and lead own projects independently
• Analytical thinking, a strong sense of responsibility, independent work, and strong coordination skills
