Our client is an internationally active family-run enterprise with a modern corporate culture in the chemicals distribution segment. The group has been growing at an above-average rate for years and will continue this growth. In the course of the expansion within the DACH region, we are looking for the following person to start as soon as possible

Sales Manager Chemicals (m/f/d)

Key job duties:

  • Establishing and maintaining a stable and sustainable relationship with the key contacts on customer side from C-level to senior management level in the areas of purchasing, technical, marketing and sales.
  • Close coordination and cooperation with the interfaces within and outside the company.
  • Coordinate activities between the global and regional sales and marketing teams and interface in a virtual team from marketing, finance, order management, technical sales support and customer service.
  • Preparation of market and competition analyses as well as identification of new sales opportunities.
  • Marketing of the entire portfolio and development of a “value proposition” for each individual product group as well as ensuring the sale of the products.
  • Responsibility for the creation and maintenance of customer-based customer development plans and forecasts as well as analysing the established KPIs.
  • Develop and implement the sales and marketing strategy withcustomers in the defined territory (DACH region), in order to facilitate the achievement of short and long term business objectives.

Target background & skills:

  • Excellent experience in sales in a key account management function and in-depth knowledge and technical know-how in the basic chemicals area
  • Business planning and / or business case development skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills as well as an affinity for numbers
  • Distinct market and customer orientation with a high degree of initiative
  • Assertiveness, thinking in terms of solutions, intercultural experience, and team orientation
  • Comprehensive negotiation and communication skills; strategic thinking
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, as well as Salesforce and SAP
  • English language required, other languages welcome
